The Development and Land Use Committee of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar is pleased to present its Survey of Florida Land Use Law for the Real Estate Practitioner continuing legal education (CLE) series. The first installment in the series is a one-hour CLE presentation consisting of two 30-minute sessions, “Comprehensive Planning in Florida: Back to Basics” and “Strategies and Tactics for Winning Land Use Approvals.” Following these presentations, attendees (1) will be able to identify the purpose and legal authority for comprehensive planning in Florida, required and optional elements of the comprehensive plan, how to amend the comprehensive plan, and how to challenge plan amendments; and (2) will be provided various strategies and tactics for winning land use approvals from local governments.
