This course will provide an in-depth examination of the strategic, ethical, and procedural aspects of filing motions to disqualify judges and lawyers in legal proceedings, while also covering the ins-and-outs of seeking appellate review of disqualification orders (both via non-final appeals and via writs of prohibition, when appropriate). Participants will also learn about governing case law and rules, acquiring insights necessary to effectively manage disqualification motions and related appeals.
